Training
An experienced media trainer, my courses include: getting the best from media relations, writing skills coaching to on-camera broadcast training. I co-founded a media training business which I ran for seven years and have delivered hundreds of bespoke training courses to CEOs, executive teams, PR agencies, academics, analysts and authors. Clients have included Wood Mackenzie, London South Bank and Coventry Universities, Betty TV and Marks & Spencer.
PR
I’ve put my skills as a story-teller honed from years as a national journalist to use in helping organisations tell their stories. I’ve worked in a number of senior in-house PR roles for organisations including the Marine Stewardship Council, Action Against Hunger and Lloyd’s Register. I specialise in strategic media relations, content creation, video production, editorial and social media.
Journalism
As well as being a staff writer at the Independent, Independent on Sunday, the Press Association and the National, in Abu Dhabi, my journalism has appeared in all UK national newspapers as well as international publications, such as Stern magazine, Mainichi Shinbun and The National in Abu Dhabi.
Public Speaking
While crowdfunding to publish Girl With A Gun, I interviewed my co-author Diana Nammi about her life as a freedom fighter in Iran in dozens of sell-out talks around the country. Aged just seventeen, Diana Nammi joined the now famed peshmerga fighting force to defend her community when Kurdistan was attacked by the new Islamic regime in 1979.
